He has completed his Post graduation in Audiology and Speech, Language pathology from Osmania University, later he underwent training in cochlear implants at Royal Eye and Ear hospital, Melbourne University and Cochlear Academy, Australia. He was also trained by Med-EL, Austria and Advanced Bionics, USA and did training at premier university hospitals in USA including NYU CI Programme, Michigan Cochlear Implant programme, Alfred I DuPont Hospital for children and University of South Florida, etc.
He presented several scientific papers in national and international conferences include American Speech Language Hearing Association, European symposium on cochlear implants and related sciences (ESPCI), Asia pacific symposium on cochlear implants and related sciences (APSCI), International symposium on audiological medicine (ISAM), Cochlear implant group of India (CIGI) also served as scientific committee coordinator He also wrote a chapter in ISHA Cochlear implant Monograph.
Special achievements include Member, highest number of cochlear implant surgeries in a single day, Limca book of world records. His other positions include Head and Senior Implantation Audiologist in Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. Founder of Dr RK Hear now and Dr RK Foundation. Also Member, Society to Aid the Hearing Impaired (SAHI).
He received Dr APJ Kalam medical and excellence award in 2021, Best student award, most talented student award from Osmania University, Gold medal for best scientific paper in CIGICON-2018.
